SPLICE — Every coin starts a lineage. SPLICE is an AI workbench for holders: funded AI-task credits, reusable tested agent setups and community-selected challenges. The goal is useful AI work with less time spent rebuilding prompts and tools. The free reference lab is available on the SPLICE website. Holder benefits are delivered through SPLICE’s operator-managed programme. An agent is a saved setup for a task: a model, instructions, tools and a way to check its work. SPLICE makes that setup something you can inspect, improve and reuse. One founding agent. A thousand possible futures. Keep the evidence. A coin. A lineage. The idea behind SPLICE is simple: a community coin represents an agent lineage. The founding configuration is its origin. Each new generation is a version of its agents, with a record of where it came from and what changed. The coin stays the community's identity as its agent configurations develop. Open the genome A SPLICE genome describes four things: • Model — the engine an agent uses. • Instructions — the task it is trying to complete. • Tools — the approved capabilities available to it. • Verification — how its output is checked. Recombination changes the configuration. It does not merge proprietary model weights. Permissions and budgets remain fixed; a mutation cannot grant itself more access. Meet the parents. Make the next. Two parent configurations contribute components to an offspring. Controlled variation creates candidates that can be evaluated against declared criteria. A new configuration must earn its place on the task being tested. Correctness, speed and resource use can all matter, with the scoring method published before an evaluation begins. An improvement on one test is evidence about that test. It is not a promise that an agent will always perform better. Keep the failures, too Every generation belongs in the family tree. The record includes the parents, configuration version, changes, task and evaluation result. Passing configurations can be exported; failed branches remain inspectable. A receipt hash helps reveal changes to the recorded data. The quality of the evidence still depends on the evaluator, inputs and test method. Explore the reference lab The SPLICE website includes an interactive reference lineage. Select a specimen, inspect its genome, choose two parents, and create an offspring in your browser. You can run a fixed extraction benchmark and download the configuration and test receipt. These are actual browser-local fixture tests, with no AI model call or payment involved. SPLICE’s operator handles shared AI work, funded capacity and holder access separately from the public browser lab. The operator manages eligibility, credit allocations and supported tasks. The SPLICE community The holder benefit has three parts: • AI-task credits — a funded allowance for supported agent runs, such as research, summaries or organising information. • Tested agent setups — reusable workflows with inspectable results, so holders spend less time building the same prompts and tool settings. • Community challenges — input into the useful tasks the community tests next. Credits are for using the service. No cash-payout programme has been defined. Eligibility, quotas and service limits are set by the operator and funded capacity. Holding SPLICE does not guarantee service access, rewards or returns. SPLICE starts with one clear goal: make an agent's development visible, from its founding configuration to the next generation.
